NeverwhereJust finished reading Neil Gaiman’s Neverwhere (Author’s preferred text) and, afterwards, I decided to re-watch the 1996 BBC series
//Neil Gaiman//
A few notes:
1.) The series doesn’t really stand the test of time. Filmed on video, it looks incredibly dated. But still good stuff.
2.) All of the Marquis de Carabas’ facial expressions remind me of Gaius Baltar from Battlestar Galactica. Perhaps, this is just a Cylon ruse.
3.) It’s still a wildly good story and a sequel would be awesome, but if you haven’t seen the series…then I’d recommend to just read the novelization and, particularly the “Author’s preferred text” version. The BBC series was aired in 1996 and it looks it.
4.) If you insist on watching the series first, then here are some links to watch it online (still working as of 07.09.2013)
Episode 1 - “Door”
Episode 2 - “Knightsbridge”
Episode 3 - “Earl’s Court to Islington”
Episode 4 - “Blackfriars”
Episode 5 - “Down Street”
Episode 6 - “As Above, So Below”
